A Simple Seder?

Set the dining room table for dinner.

Include also on the table the following:

A small bowl of salt water.

Parsley sprigs (enough for each person to have one.)

Three Matzah

A bowl of kharoset ( this is a paste like substance made by combining nuts [walnuts], fruit [dates, apples, bananas or any others in any combination] and some fruit juice or wine and puree them in a blender to the consistency of cake frosting.)

A bowl with a scoop of horseradish.

Also have on hand a hard boiled egg and a bone (lamb shank preferred but chicken leg will do.)

An unlit candle and a method to light it.

A wine glass at each place setting with wine or a wine substitute for each person to have four glasses.

A place setting for one more person than the number expected.

As your guests arrive, seat them at the table and give each a haggadah, which is the order of service. (Christian Haggadah preferred for Christian Seder)

Open the Haggadah and begin. It really is that simple. Well, not considering that you have planned for and prepared a feast.

In the middle of the Haggadah you will find a short instruction (Eat Dinner). Just before the meal we begin a prayer called the Dayenu and after dinner complete it with the prayer we call the Hallel. This is one prayer interrupted by the meal and because of this, the Jewish sages have said, and I agree, that the meal is as important a part of this Worship as any other aspect.

All one has to do is follow these instructions and let the Holy Spirit do the rest.

Trust me, The Holy Spirit will be there.
